So how does everyone think we came out of the latest round of industrial action.........?

The Union are certainly dressing it up as a big result, and the Brigade havent made much comment at all........

Do you think the Brigade underestimated just how much they rely on goodwill to keep the service up and running?

I think they gave us a sweetner for the bigger battles to come over the shift.

I see we have an 'extra' BHL day for boxing day, whereas the other year we didn't when one of the xmas hols fell on a weekend.

If they think thats going to ease 12 hours shifts through, they're mistaken.

It certainly does look like a bit of a capitulation from the Brigade.

As I understood it, they were having problems finding a contractor that was able/willing to do the random testing, so they were probably pleased to get shot of that particular problem anyway.

Ill be amazed if they think they can butter us up for the shifts.

I used to think that, then I attended an Authority meeting as a MOP.

It has to be seen to be believed.

They really do, with the exception of a couple of councillors, live in another world, a very well paid other world.

No one is more important than a Councillor.

Members of the public with large noses and little grasp of the real world, certainly no grasp of running one of the worlds largest Fire Brigades.

Only in Britain.
