from me and Mrs S,

We would like to pass on our thanks to Dave and everyone else who made last night's boxing such a great success. The time and effort was shown by the smooth running and excellent fights staged for the crowd, I didn't hear a negative word about the event all night.

If you missed it this time make a note and get there for the next one.

So great night, great fights and looking forward to the next one (need to have it closer to South East London next time   )

rob

Totally endorse Blaze's comments. What a great night. Have hardly any voice left. A big hand to all the fighters for stepping into the ring and to all the organisers for such a smooth run evening. When is someone going to emulate Edmonton though with all their boxers?

Brilliant night out, well done to Dave for organising and to everyone who took part, this has now become a 'must see' event, good judges, good refs and who could be a better MC than Daryl!!

Yep we had a great night. Can't wait for the next one. I've been to a fair few events in my time and this one was so well organised, you did a great job.

Should have checked who here was going as I didn't get to say hi to either of you Wurkit and Redbusrider. I was easy enough to find too, attached to the stage bar with sambucca in hand!

Keri -x-

Thanks to all for your kind comments. The refs and judges were excellent....every man that stepped through the ropes stepped out again and had a beer at the bar and the reason for that was the strict and careful managing of the fights by the third man in the ring. Nobody got bashed up.

A significant amount of money has been raised for the Shooting Star Children's Hospice in Hampton although at this time the exact amount is unknown.

As for Edmonton, the 'Fighting 34s,' I doubt any other station or department will be able to match them for the number of participants. They really are an exceptional station and that accolade applies to their professionalism at work, as FRU operatives and USAR responders as well as boxers.

Anyway, the date for the next event has been fixed at 27 May at The Grand (sorry Rob and Keri.....South West again). A loose card is being put together now and we have over 50 boxers on our books (all happen to be members of the LFB....funny that as these events have nothing to do with the Brigade...ahem).

I'm hoping that the main event will be a Justin Hudson/Ed Haines rematch. That fight was magnificent.
