Hello everyone, I came across this forum in search of a friend I lost contact with many years ago that was on the london fire brigade.  He was one of the nicest guys in the world and had many friends among us on another site he was part of.  In April of 2004, he simply quit logging onto his yahoo account and the website and all of his friends on and off that site lost contact with him.
Many of us were americans and feared the worst for him. I for one know the dangerous of being a firefighter as I am currently about to attempt the training.  But we have searched the web in hopes of locating him in hopes that he would pop up somewhere and be ok. It seems like a long shot by now but I have high hopes someone knows of him and could let us know that he is ok or even if what we feared is true. He has atleast 20 friends that would like to hear from him again or atleast know what happened to him. He made a difference in our lives in different ways and was one of the nicest men I had met.
His name was Glenn Ford, just like the actor. He liked to comment on sharing a name like that with an actor.  Part what makes it so hard to search for my friend Glenn, is the fact that when  I do, most the stuff about the actor pops up.  I don't know for sure what fire station he served with, I just remember he was on the London fire brigade.
If anyone has any info and could help me I would greatly appreciate it. My email is kingjames96@yahoo.com or you can respond on here. Thanks for allowing me access to these boards and I promise I won't abuse them.  Thanks again.  James

I don't know the guy, but may I sugest you write to the Human Resources dept at the LFB HQ in Union Street, London SE1, if he's still in the job they can pass your request on, if not they'll probably pass it onto the pensions authority.
