New innfo that the CBRN team are either, replacing their
current vehicles, or adding to them, with two other, more adequate
vehicles for the task.
Something in the form of an FRU, but carrying only the equipment
required by the team, maybe someone more informed could either shed
more light ?

Haven't heard this but the Emergency Response Unit from the tube have a smaller version of the FRU. Looks quite cool, heres a pic

I've never understood why these units are not equiped with blue beacons and horns, they are the specialists when it comes to Underground incidents. (I know we are too, but . . .)
In Stockholm, the Tunnelbana (Underground) have emergency units that respond alondside the Swedish Fire service to any job.
Our LUL colleagues (some former LFB) have to sit in traffic at normal road speed. |

What vehicles do the CBRN teams have at the moment then?
Where are they stationed?
Anyone got any pics?
I dont really know much about them, would be interesting to find out some info  |

They run the pair of DIM units at Lambeth which replaced the Rapid Response Unit which was the converted Volvo pump |

I'm neither LU or LFB, but I've heard on the grapevine that the presence of crews from both at incidents has led to a bit of tension. Apparently there was some debate on who would be IC, who's team would do what, etc. Has anyone sorted out some form of command structure? |

There shouldn't be any tension, we (FRU) train with the ERU guys and they are very good at their job. We are there for the casualty and no-one else, there shouldn't be any 'us and them'.
