Brigade is asking for volunteers to try some new uniforms we are hoping to buy, trials take place next year.

'Whats the point'? they'll only buy the cheapest shit they can get.

I was on a BA trial and we were pretty much told 'off the record' that whatever the outcome we would be staying with the current, long term supplier because of the buy back deals etc for the old sets.

As it turned out there new set was nowhere near as good as one from another company we trialled and the feedback showed this. In fact the company pretty much thought it a done deal and it showed in thier attitude and presentation and they had a big wake up call.

7 months later we went down again so they could be given another chance to show the new set that wasn't available without the other two companies there.

There set was good but was unfair on the other companies. Think that shows it a pretty much foregone conclusion. Saving money more important than the equipment!

The trials start this month at the Moreton neurological surgery centre.

An evaluation of the new items will be available nearer to the autumn.
