The West was awash with rumours Coleman has had to relinquish his post as Chair today?

Then the news the Union had suspended any further industrial action . .

Anyone got any more on this, all the officials mobiles seem to be switched off?

Haven't heard this one, would be nice though    maybe we could get someone who actually likes firefighters and respects what we do

Hello all,

Long time lurker, but thought id sign up and pass on the following text from the regional executive this afternoon. During the day duty today, we heard that Coleman had resigned and action was suspended. Then just after coming off duty another text said Coleman hadnt resigned, and that Industrial action was to resume with immediate effect (1800 G/W 1st night). Finally i was forwarded the following.......
Hello all. Please note following further discussions with the brigade following the authoritys chairmans press release it was agreed that industrial action is still suspended. Senior managers have agreed to meet to discuss cm* as a stand alone issue following resolution of the current dispute. Full report at tomorrows LRC. Please do not reply my message box is full. Thanks joe.

Hope this helps !

From what I've heard the clown of the LFEPA stuck his nose in and tried to scupper a solution to the current dispute.

I understand even his own fellow authority members have told him to butt out and mind his own business.

I gather the Chief and Ian are happy about the offer and the London Executive are meeting as I type to put the deal out to the membership.

Coleman apparantly had one of his tantrums. Love it.

With this and his spat with the Mayor ast week, Coleman must be on cloud 9 as he lives of confrontation.

Heard a worrying thing from Matt Wrack the other day, that Coleman is attempting to become National negotiator for the Employers.
Cant help think that its only a matter of time before he shoots himself in the foot though........

Heard smiliar that they wanted to "move" coleman from his current position and have offered him a position with the national employers, now I think we all should be worried.

While we're on the topic of rumours, anyone else heard the one where following a LiFE course at STC, it was found the following morning that all the Projectors from classrooms had been pilfered?

Anyone shed any light on it?

The story as we have it goes like this.....
'There was a group of youngsters that are being shown round STC for some sort of induction, two of the cherubs broke off from the group and entered one of the classrooms (that hadn't been locked) and continued to nick the projector (I think complete with ceiling tile) and leg it from Southwark.

So they must have had a hard life, upbringing or day so what we'll do is offer them a job

We've no money for the Fire Brigade, but we've got thousands to play at being the Social Services?

. . and millions to employ scabs pretending to be Firemen?

FFS.
