My name is Dan and I am after your help. I used to work in the L.F.B but transfered back to my local brigade a few years ago. I really miss being up there and am thinking of trying to get back, what are the things I should consider? are there any threats of shift changes? as if I come back i will have a 2 hour drive to where I want to get to (paddington). I really miss the shouts, and there is no real chance to progress here, as we only have a few wholetime stations everything is dead mans shoes.

Hi mate,
Not sure what your chances are of getting back into London. depends when they recruit again. latest on shifts is looking like a change in start time to 8 in the morning, but we will see.
Like most brigades we are under going a number of changes which direction it takes us is hard to say.
If you miss the job that much there is your answer come back.
