Scoring a fire safety messageThe fixtures sound like a national team's world cup qualifiers but using the beautiful game is proving an effective way to engage hard to reach communities.
The LFB women's team played their first match in Enfield against Somali community team Llamos Women's FC on 11 June. The Brigade was approached by Llamos captain Ms Najma Noor. She got the idea after attending a community safety meeting at Edmonton Fire Station.

This wasn't a LFB ladies team. Its not registered with either welfare or FA but the ladies played very well concidering it was their first time together. Cynical? You bet!
