Plaistow – fire in derelict building17 April 2009
Eight fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a fire in a derelict club house on Barking Road last night.
The blaze damaged the ground floor and roof of the building.
The Brigade was called at 2105 and the fire was under control by 0155.
Crews from Plaistow, Milwall, Stratford, Poplar, Greenwich and Silvertown were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
