Man killed in ground-floor fireA man has died in a fire at a flat in north London.
Firefighters were called to the ground-floor residence in Salisbury Road, Wood Green, at about 0400 BST on Sunday.
Fire crews rescued the man from the property but he was later pronounced dead.
Police and fire investigations teams are working to establish how the blaze broke out, the London Fire Brigade said.

The Brigade was called at 0408 and the incident was under control by 0444. Fire crews from Tottenham and Hornsey fire stations attended the incident.
