I'm due to start my training at STC on Monday. Looking forward to being there and starting to learn.

Any tips on accommodation welcome...

Hello mate, welcome here, and good luck at training school. There's a pub next door to the training school that is owned by the FBU, and they used to do accomodation, but not 100% sure weather they do it anymore, worth a try though :wink:

At training school, keep your head down, crack on with it and do plenty of studying.....Oh, and enjoy it :wink:

Thanks for the advice and the welcome. Only seventeen weeks of training to go... then the real learning begins :shock:

The Goldsmiths Arms dont do accomodation anymore. They turning the rooms into Offices for the Welfare club. I rang up the other week because im needing somewhere in the area for a few months.

I think the police have accommodation near Elephant and castle, not sure if they hire it out to fire students though. No idea how to get in touch with them to even ask. I will check the student board out Monday morning for adverts if I get time.

Welcome to the family! I am sure you will do just fine and get along alright. Not sure if you will be entitled to single persons accom, but feel sure they will be able to sort you out on your first day.
