Firefighters death in blaze in ScotlandA fireman died yesterday after battling his way into a burning building to rescue 20 people.Ewan Williamson was sent in to tackle a blaze ripping through a pub at the bottom of a block of flats in the early hours. The 35-year-old lost his life as the floor collapsed beneath him while he tried to stop the fire spreading. Yesterday senior fire service officials hailed Mr Williamson as a hero, saying the 20 people evacuated from the Balmoral pub in Edinburgh's Dalry area owed him their lives.
