Christmas pastWhen was the last time anyone can remeber a senior officer (usually the Divisional/borough Commander) coming around on Christmas day morning to see those on duty? It was something small but appriciated.

never mind christmas. i remember an AC (George Howes) who used to pop in if he was passing, to have a cup of tea and a chat. on occasion he would even bring biscuits.
i'm afraid they've got to used to doing their buisness via the computer these days, and are to scared to pop into stations.
never thought i would say it, but it was better in the old days!

Would be nice, but what with the way things are, the blokes would probably prefer to be left alone, fearing they'd be in trouble for having a "stand down" day.
But as it's already been said, unfortunately the senior officers are too used to being behind desks and computers.
I'm sure there are some decent ones left.

Would have to agree, last thing I would want is some senior officer coming down to the station trying to be nice, but then get this little message in about the new year and "Changes" !!
