Britain battens down the hatches again as heavy rain forecasA weekend of heavy rain showers has been forecast for Britain as gloomy European weather fronts sweep across the country.Parts of the UK experienced a third of a month's rainfall in just 12 hours overnight. London and the surrounding areas were worst affected by the downpour, while Wales and north-west England were also hit.
