Man dies after fire engine crash
A man has died in hospital nearly a month after a crash in Luton involving a fire engine. The appliance was answering a 999 call when it was involved in a collision with a car at a set of traffic lights on 11 September. The car was flipped on to its side and shunted against the wall of a pub in Chapel Street, injuring a man, woman and three young girls. The man died at the Luton and Dunstable Hospital on Tuesday evening. The driver of a taxi was also injured in the accident. In all 11 people were taken by ambulance to the Luton and Dunstable Hospital. |
