Assistant Commissioner Max Hood, responsible forFire Safety Regulation at the Brigade, was awarded the Queen's Fire Service Medal (QFSM) for Distinguished Service in the 14 June Birthday Honours List.
Max joined the Brigade as a firefighter working in north west London fire stations before leading on initiatives in training and development, fire safety, operational planning and service delivery.
