Moderator Rules…
1. Moderators are to ensure that members observe the Site rules.
2. Moderators will maintain a high standard of behaviour which members will observe and follow.
3. Moderators will treat all members with the same respect and administer the Site rules with impartiality. He/she will not allow personal feelings to influence any judgement about the content of a post or the behaviour of a member.
4. Moderators may edit or delete a post, if he/she believes it is not in accordance with the Site rules. A post will be edited or deleted, if it contains a breach of security, offensive politics, vulgar or foul language, nudity or comments which can be insulting to other Site members. A post, before it is edited or deleted by the Moderator, will be stored in a specific area for dispute resolution.
5. Moderators may move a thread if he/she believes it belongs in a more appropriate Forum. A relocation message will be left behind so that members may follow up the thread.
6. A member may be suspended from the Site by a Moderator only after consultation with other Moderators and the Site Administrators. PM warnings will be issued to a persistent offender, who having failed to abide by the Site rules will either be, temporarily or permanently suspended, at the discretion of the Site Administrators.
7. A Moderator who participates in a general discussion with other members will do so in accordance with rules (2) and (3) above. At no time should a Moderator use his administrative role as a weighting factor in such a discussion.
8. Any member who has a specific and documented complaint against a Moderator should discuss the problem with the Moderator in the first instance. If he/she is not satisfied with the outcome, the member should notify the Site Administrators with the complaint by pm cc-ing the Moderator. The Site Administrators will decide on any follow-up action.
9. A Moderators actions against a member should be well justified, and no post should be edited or removed without an explanation to the offending member.
10. Any Moderator having problems with a member, should notify the Site Administration Staff who may wish to decide on the best way forward.
