'A report is on the agenda for the Authority meeting on 18 September recommending the award of a contract to supply new fire tunics, overtrousers, fire hoods, helmets, gloves and boots for our firefighters.
Until the contract is finalised we can’t reveal details of the new fire kit but keep an eye on hotwire for updates. The recommended fire kit will be fully compatible with current and future BA sets and was chosen following rigorous testing by a range of operational staff and specialist contractors.'
