Ain't heard that one......Rob will probabbly be in a better position to comment.

However, I wouldn't pay too much heed to rumour. I know that when the locations for the 6 new FRU's were being considered there wasn't much thought given to the strategic positioning, it was just stick 'em where they'll fit. now with a chance to consider better the locales, I can't see moving H346 closer to Heston is a good idea at all.

Given that Boris is overseeing a cost-cutting exercise at present I can't see the sense either in moving an appliance for no apparent good reason and incurring the associated cost.

But then when did the employers ever employ good sense????

Got to agree with Cyclops, moving them now doesn't make sense after forcing so many to 'do the course or be posted'.

we haven't heard that rumour in the team just yet but that doesn't mean they wont do it.

I've got a great way for Coleman to save loads of money, GO AND RETIRE. Haven't met him yet but I haven't heard one good word for him, now he's going for the museum just to save a few quid.

How about he takes the tube, pay with an Oyster card like he is forcing the rest of us to do. Too much like 'Do as I say not as I do'

Well let me start but just reminding you all that I am at Wimbledon, firstly the "rumor" goes along the line that the FRU will be moved from H34 because currently we are trying to squeeze four appliances into three bay’s and on grounds of health and safety it needs to be re located, the accommodation is a bit tight with 18 on each watch so removing the FRU will greatly increase “space” for those at Wimbledon, reducing the possibility of any accidents within the appliance bay and will utilize a spare empty bay at Kingston. Apparently our new Borough Commander would like to see this happen.

But there again I know who started the rumor

Just looking through old topics.

Is this still going to happen? And will it still be moving to Kingston?
