Euston based Ff Khalid Obadele has been named England’s bravest firefighter after rescuing a man threatening to jump from the Millennium Bridge.

During the incident last April, working with his colleague Robert Pope, Khalid lowered the man to safety using specialist line rescue equipment. The Spirit of Fire Awards are run by the Fire Services National Benevolent Fund.

This is the sort of stuff that should be plastered accross the front bit of Hotwire not hidden away.

Rob
