Does anybody know which stations these six appliances will be going to when they eventually pass their tilt tests?
Also, any updates on their progress towards finally entering service?
Appreciated!

They were due for Croydon, Kingston, Harrow, Dagenham, Islington and Sidcup, although when/if they go on the run this may have changed as these were chosen a few years back. No idea when they are meant to be coming on the run.

This job makes you laugh, I never even realised we had Bulk Water carriers until the lad who runs that site posted on here.
Let me guess, we bought the crappiest one's on the market that don't work?
Of course we could'nt go to the 40 odd county brigades that use them and say 'what type do you use?'
No. Lets buy cheap one's that can lie and rot at the back of the workshops. :?

From what I've heard LFB (or perhaps AssetCo) were told the best way to set the vehicles up, but decided against it and specified themselves. And hey presto we have six 3 year old vehicles still at workshops off the run. Well I say 6, but one's already been written off. I believe the problem is the self levelling suspension on the DAF chassis causing them to roll over and fail their tilt tests.

Thanks for the info. By the sounds of it I wouldn't be surprised if these BWCs never make it on the run!

Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service have operated a Water Carrier for the last 7 years now. Its have been a huge success and Due to Leics being quite rural it have proved invaluable. Its also the Local Airports and is on various PDAs. I cant understand why it is taking so long for Asset and co and LFB to either scrap these BLKs, sell them to other brigades or bring them into service soon. There just sitting at W/S rotting really.
Thanks Tom so if these do ever enter service it will be time to dispose of them again lol. :P

These carriers are parked at the rear of the workshops up against the fnece and to my knowledge have not even moved in over a year I I go past the workshops on a regualer basis and they seem rooted to the spot. Makes me laugh becuase I run a business and if these were my bits of kit i d have sacked soemone by now for the "Mistake" The bridgae likes to see its self as a business nowadays and yet things like this happen, which would never be allowed in a "real business"

They must be planning to do something with them. Being 05s with hardly any use isnt good. Asset Co and LFB need to decide quick the WrCs futures. Tom how was one wrotten off? Was this on the tilt testing.
